ABOUT US

Founded in 2012, we have matured as the best Formula Student Team in the country. Now we are evolving into a national platform where state-of-the-art automotive technologies are invented, nurtured and disseminated to the Indian Automotive Industry.

We are a team of over 40+ students from different disciplines at IIT-Madras with a shared passion for technology and automotive engineering. With a flair for technical finesse and innovation, we strive for continuous technological advancement.

IIT Madras, a National Institute of Eminence, addresses the gap between theoretical learning and practical experience in the Indian education system. It's renowned for research, consultancy, and technological development, harmonizing theory and practice. IITM advances knowledge in Pure and Applied Science, Engineering, Social Science, and Humanities. Co-developing Indigenous Technology

Aligning with the country’s vision of #atmanirbharbharat, developing indigenous automotive technology right here in Chennai, the automotive capital of India, is of vital importance for the country’s growth. We invite Industry leaders to partner us in developing indigenous technology together.

India's first Custom built Indigenous Vehicle Control Unit based on the in-house built SHAKTHI processors.

Testing & Validation Environment for Technologies

Raftar platform provides excellent real-life testbeds for mobility technologies, under extreme automotive environments. Our prototype testbeds incorporate technology that is backed by multiple championships in both National and International automotive challenges.
